严澂,字天池,号道澈先生,他的父亲严讷,是王世贞(1526—1590年)的亲密助手,因此严澂有机会看到王世贞所藏的《哀册》。尽管关于严澂本人的事迹不详,但这一优质的复本说明他不是一个寻常的书法家,在勾摹技术上有相当的发展,使人们普遍感到惊异。因为距离唐代已如此遥远,精通勾摹技术的人已很少。对《哀册》仔细观察后,可先发现他是用“双钩(勾)廓填法”勾摹的,通篇的墨色一律,不够自然,尽管笔画遒劲流畅,但多少有些单调,其缺笔和虫蛀之处都用细笔勾出。此本比较忠实原帖,帖尾于瓌、绍彭也
